Whether we’re talking about those who express faith in one of the over 4000 religions in the world or those who believe in metaphysical or paranormal phenomena, there’s ample room for weirdness that people should accept without question. As Márquez alluded, our everyday world is weird, and many people accept that there are things outside the current understanding of science. Religion is often the vehicle through which magical realism can most authentically enter a story. Here, Fabiola's actions seem more religious than magical.
